About Flash Stamp & Flash Foam

What is “Flash Stamp” ?

A flash stamp, also known as a pre-inked stamp, is a type of stamp that incorporates an ink pad within its construction. Unlike traditional stamps that require a separate ink pad, flash stamps have the ink reservoir built directly into the stamp itself or a foam die of the stamp already absorbed ink in itself.

Imprint image is produced by using pre-inked personal stamp manufacturing system called “Flash machine” which has built-in xenon flash lamps. The text plate of the stamp is made of a thermoplastic porous foam called “Flash foam” which can be processed at low temperatures generated by the lamps. This excellent system allows you to produce the flash stamps with safety, easy and an environmentally friendly steps at even small shops or offices.

What materials are required to make “Flash Stamp” ?

Flash machine, flash stamp holders, flash foam, ink, laser printer and tracing paper are required for making Flash stamp. These materials and machines are available from a number of stamp manufacturers.

What are the advantages of “Flash stamp”?

One of the main advantage of flash stamps is that they produce beautiful impressions. The surface of a flash stamp does not need to be uneven. Whereas some stamps have an uneven surface and look as if they have been engraved, the surface of a flash stamp is nearly flat. The “Flash foam” (material of the flash stamp) has abundance of micropores in its structure which can be processed at low temperatures. When it is exposed by heat, the pores on the surface of the foam are melted and solidified, sealing the pores and forming the stamp design. As deep uneven surfaces are not required, high resolution designs such as small letters and fine lines can be used as the stamp image. When the foam material is filled with ink, the ink comes out only through the open pores of the surface and appears on the paper as an impression image. No ink come out from the sealed areas of the surface. This means that no extra ink is needed and no extra solvents or alcohol evaporate, so that the stamp has more inking lifetime before refilling the ink. Furthermore, the stamp image is not affected by the user’s stamping pressure, which means that anyone can make beautiful imprints without worrying about their stamping pressure.
